Methodically Scientific with Will Breen

Will Breen's photo

Will Breen works as an exploration geologist, but has had many other job titles and interests that all share a common theme of methodical and systematic inquiry: pilot, medical technician, first aid instructor, & volunteer firefighter. During his university career, he attracted equal parts praise and criticism for frequently offering unflinching fact-based opinions on issues facing the student body. A lifelong atheist, he looks forward to the day when the phrase “sovereign nation under God” is removed from the Canadian Constitution, and everyone uses Occam’s Razor. Will lives in northern Saskatchewan, with his wife and 2 spoiled rotten greyhounds.

Words of Disbelief with Pam Walls

Toronto, Ontario

Pam Walls grew up in a large, Catholic household in Calgary, Alberta. She went through the Catholic school system and tried very hard to believe in God during her adolescence. There wasn't one specific catalyst for her eventual rejection of religion, but rather a gradual letting-go of faith. She graduated from the International Relations program at the University of Calgary and has traveled to Ghana as a student and India as a volunteer. She is now the Executive Director of the Centre for Inquiry Ontario in Toronto.

Alex Rivard

Montreal, Quebec

Alex Rivard's photo

I was born Alexandre Bernard Rivard in Montreal, Quebec, where I currently reside. I was born to a French-Canadian bilingual speaking father, who helped shaped my beliefs in politics and helped me realize that my French-Canadian culture is incredibly important and to be proud and always remember where I come from. My mother, an East-coast raised Anglophone was essential in my Atheistic development as well as in my pride for the Canadian Armed Forces, in which my grandfather spent numerous years. I am currently a first year student at Dawson College (a CEGEP, one of Quebec's post-secondary pre-university institutions) with aspirations to go to law school, and eventually enter the political game. I hope to present a youthful opinion that will largely focus on skepticism in general and my musings about politics, both Canadian and American.
