Calgary Secular Organizations for Sobriety (S.O.S.)
April 2, 2011
Calgary’s Centre For Inquiry is proud to announce their sponsorship and support of the new Secular Organization for Sobriety program here in Calgary.
Secular Organizations for Sobriety (S.O.S.), a support organization for people recovering from alcohol and drug abuse, held their first public meeting on Saturday, October 30th. A second meeting time and location has been added as well.
S.O.S. is a rational, secular alternative for those who seek recovery from a problem with alcohol or drugs, but are uncomfortable with the spiritual aspects of widely available 12-step programs.
Ross Mutton heads up the new S.O.S. program here in Calgary. Ross has years of formal education and experience in running recovery programs. For information about S.O.S. or meeting times and locations, contact Ross at 403.247.2121 or email sos.calgary.alberta@gmail.com
