Two leading researchers discuss how stem cells may hold the key for curing diseases and unlocking the secrest of regeneration. Douglas A Melton, PhD is a founding member of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute with a particular interest in cells that give rise to the pancreas and insulin-producing beta cells. Nadia Rosenthal PhD is a leader in stem cell research and regeneration research and director of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory. Her research focuses on heart and muscle development and the roll of stem cells in regeneration.
