These spoken word and poetry nights provide a venue for up-and-coming/established slam poets, hip hop artists, dub-poets, burlesque performers, spoken word performers, actors and anyone interested in the integrated arts. This is meant to be as inclusive as possible and will begin as a reading series which will include open mike nights and performers.

We hope to revive for the new millennium the Bohemian Embassy Coffeehouse, the brain child of Don Cullen, that was founded in the 1960s and has continued intermittently over the years. Gordon Lightfoot, Michael Ondaatje,Joni Mitchell, Milton Acorn, Gwendolyn MacEwen, Al Purdy and Margaret Atwood were among those who performed at the Bohemian Embassy over the years.
