CFI Book Club: The Physics of Star Trek
This month's book is the international bestseller The Physics of Star Trek by Prof. Lawrence Krauss. Copies of the book are available for purchase through CFI Vancouver, or can be found at the Vancouver Public Library.
From the book's cover: "How does the Star Trek universe stack up against the real universe? Find out what the series creators got right - and wrong - about science in this fascinating guide. From Newton to Hawking, from Einstein to Feynman, from Kirk to Archer, Krauss leads you on a voyage to the world of physics as we now know it and as it might one day be."
CFI Vancouver’s Book Club meets every second Saturday of the month at The Grind Coffee Shop on Main Street. Most of the books we discuss are available through the Vancouver Public Libraries - http://www.vpl.vancouver.bc.ca/ , can be found for sale at Book Warehouse or Chapters, or may be ordered through CFI.
Admission is free , however donations to help keep this program running are much appreciated.
